Mitsubishi ASX Make 2 Guinness Records

Winning awards seems to be a habit for Mitsubishi vehicles, it appears; even in Malaysia, models like the Triton pick-up have been winning Car of the Year awards several times. Now Mitsubishi Motors has collected the Big One: 5 Guinness World Records within a 24-hour period by any vehicle in its class. The records were set on a frozen lake in Alberta, Canada, in temperatures as low as -25 degrees C.

The original objective was to showcase the sophisticated technology and capabilities of the Mitsubishi Outlander Sport (same model as the ASX sold in Malaysia) and the bigger Outlander. Behind the wheel was Garvin Cross whom you probably never heard of but who has appeared in dozens of movies (including one where he was the stunt double for Daniel Craig).
