The equipment list is similar to that of the Triton 2.5 Automatic so it has dual airbags, ABS with EBD, hybrid LSD, foglamps, a multi-mode centre information display and a leather-wrapped steering wheel. This list is enhanced by a 2-DIN entertainment system with touchscreen and integrated GPS navigation system. Its full-colour LCD screen also doubles up as a display for the Triton Bold Edition's reverse camera which aids parking considerably. Mitsubishi Motors Malaysia is the first to offer a reverse camera for a pick-up truck sold here. All occupants also get to enjoy even more comfort on plush full leather seats in a spacious cabin that is comparable to a passenger car’s. Automatic climate control, offered only on the flagship 3.2-litre Triton is also installed in the Triton Bold Edition.
The Mitsubishi Triton is the second most popular pick-up in Malaysia so it’s a common sight on the roads. For those who may be discouraged by this fact and want their pick-up to be more exclusive, Mitsubishi Motors Malaysia offers the Triton Bold Edition, a limited edition version of the truck. Only 300 units will be available so it will be a unique Triton.
In the showrooms of authorized Mitsubishi Motors dealers from January 12 onwards, the Triton Bold Edition is distinguished by its stylish sports bar, chrome rear step bumper, 17-inch alloy wheels, anti-slip side steps and a sporty front bumper guard.
Power is provided by the proven 2.5-litre turbocharged commonrail diesel engine that produces 136 ps of power and 314 Nm of torque. Drive from this strong yet economical engine is transferred to the ground via a 4-speed automatic transmission and Mitsubishi's Easy Select 4x4 system.(below 100km/h can change to 4WD High Range)
The Triton is Malaysia’s most awarded pick-up truck and continues to be a winner in ‘Car of the Year’ programs. Just a few months ago, the facelifted version was picked by Autocar ASEAN as “Pick-up truck of the Year”.
Available in either black or white, the Triton Bold Edition is priced atRM102,980 (on-the-road price). It comes with a 2-year free maintenance package and 3-year warranty. Until January 31, 2011, customers who book and register a Triton Bold Edition will also be rewarded with a special Festive Ang Pow.
